Yes! However, for every person needing assistance, there is a base pickup fee applied to each leg of the trip. Some detailed information is required for us to ensure both wheelchairs will fit into the vehicle securely. We would call this a “Shared Ride”. Yes! We can provide Regular Standard size and Bariatric size wheelchairs with elevating leg rests, or Standard Reclining wheelchairs with elevating leg rests. Fees apply.
Our drivers are not qualified caregivers, but are able to provide hand to hand assistance from inside the riders residence to inside the destination. The riders’ need for family or other assistance present at the time of transport or during is up to those booking the rides, but is not a requirement.
We do not accept cash or checks at the pickup time, for the safety of our drivers. All payment arrangements are required to be made prior to transport.
No. All rides must be paid for in full before the time of transport, unless the rides are on a recurring schedule and have passed the established payment history period.
We have one driver per vehicle, with no assistants. They are able to navigate one step safely, but if there is more than one step, we ask that the rider make appropriate arrangements to be assisted down the stairs prior to transport.
Rides can be scheduled as *15 or 30 Minute wait and returns* where the driver waits at the pickup location either in the lobby or in the vehicle depending on the request. Drivers are not allowed to go into appointments with patients, and are not caregivers who are responsible to move patients between multiple appointments in the same facility.
Life happens, and sometimes things happen that are out of our control. We do our best to offer a fair and reasonable assessment of late cancellations, and while we do have a strict cancellation policy our service exists to serve those in need, and we do make exceptions on a case by case basis.
While we are partnered with several insurance funded programs throughout the Portland Metro area, we do NOT bill insurances. All invoices for private paying riders must be paid in full before the time of transport.
We do not provide stretcher transport at this time.
We take every request we get very seriously, and are careful in our booking and scheduling process to ensure we have the resources available to meet your needs, and be honest with you when we don’t. This means that we do not overbook, and that every request we confirm is guaranteed service no matter what.
